Opportunity for Brazilian Scholar at Columbia University

The Coordination for Improvement of Graduate Level Staff (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - Capes) seeks a scholar in Brazil to take part in teaching and research activities on Social and Sciences and Humanities at Columbia University. The organization issued the call for applications in the edital nº 15/2015, which seeks a mid-career level scholar currently teaching in a Brazilian institution to fill the Dr. Ruth Cardoso Chair for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Anyone who fulfils the requirements from the edital and wishes to apply, must do so by October 1, 2015. The program foresees a scholarship during the 2016/2017 academic year at Columbia University, with the duration of one or two academic semesters (August 2016 through December 2016 or January 2017 through May 2017), or both academic semesters (August 2016 through May 2017).
