This year he will turn 80,” said Professor Zheng. “As Columbia and China are increasingly close, we are more than honored to have Professor Capon today speaking about his experiences in marketing at Columbia Global Centers | Beijing.”

On May 17, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing co-hosted a public lecture by Noel Capon, the R.C. Together they discussed their best-selling book, Marketing for China's managers: current and future, with business leaders and entrepreneurs.

During the lecture, Professor Capon shared his four principles of marketing and the six marketing imperatives, and he strengthened:“marketing is as a philosophy. At some level it is everyone’s business no matter what your role in your organization is."

"What you’re doing or what you should be doing, should be something to do with ultimately delivering customer values," said Professor Capon.

Noel Capon is the R.C. Kopf Professor of International Marketing and past Chair of the Marketing division (2000-2006), Columbia Business School. He has contributed extensively to Columbia Business School Executive Education.
