In the context of Earth Day - celebrated worldwide on April 22 and whose main theme this year is #RestoreOurEarth - the Santiago Center has partnered with Fundación Chile to launch an art contest, officially backed by EarthDay.org, to call attention to solutions to bring our planet back to its majesty.
The contest is opened to children and youth aged 10-18 living in Chile, who until May 16 can submit short videos, drawings, paintings, collages, handiwork, posters or any other type of visual art to compete for interesting prizes.
A panel of art experts representing both institutions, as well as from sponsors, Chile’s Ministry of the Environment and the US Embassy in Chile, will review the submissions and award the top three works of art in two categories: 10-14 years of age and 15-18 years of age.
All of the art will be uploaded to the website www.restauremoslatierra.cl, with the winners declared during the first week of June.
