In commemoration of International Women’s Day, the Santiago Center and the Chilean Bar Association hosted a screening of the acclaimed documentary RBG, directed by Columbia University’s Betsy West and Julie Cohen. The screening was followed by a panel discussion featuring Verónica Undurraga (LAW'95), Professor of Constitutional Law at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and Pablo Ruiz-Tagle, Dean of Universidad de Chile’s School of Law. The conversation was moderated by Magdalena Engel (SIPA'05), Communications Director at Carey.

The film chronicles the extraordinary life and career of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, highlighting her groundbreaking legal legacy and her emergence as an unexpected pop culture icon. During the panel, Undurraga and Ruiz-Tagle praised Ginsburg’s profound influence on constitutional law and gender equality, using her legacy as a lens to reflect on the ongoing challenges Chile faces in advancing gender equity.
