Tom Brock, Director and Professor at the Community College Research Center (CCRC) at Columbia’s Teachers College (TC), visited the Santiago Center at the beginning of January.
Brock was interested in getting to know the Center, presenting the CCRC’s goal of improving outcomes at the more than 1200 community colleges located throughout the US, and seeing where synergies could be made with Chile.
Ideas discussed included international exchange for Chilean scholars to visit Teachers College, performing joint research and qualitative data analysis to help define national policies, and networking and information sharing between experts in Chile and the US.
