Santiago, Rio Centers & ILAS Launch Latin America Media Directory

October 22, 2021

The Santiago Center, in partnership with the Rio Center and the Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS), has researched, designed and published a media directory of Columbia experts on Latin America and the region’s related issues.

“This media directory provides a glimpse of the valuable human resources in our intellectual community by organizing Columbia’s faculty and researchers in a way that provides easy access to their expertise. As such, journalists can identify those responsible for cutting-edge academia and research who can help understand the challenges facing the region,” said Vicky Murillo, ILAS Director.

The directory, which features more than 300 Columbia faculty and alumni who have deep expertise on subjects ranging from global affairs to the environment and economics to public health, was researched by Columbia student Jennifer Su, who is studying Economics & Philosophy while pursuing a dual degree at the Paris Institute of Political Studies and who was one of the sixteen students participating in the Santiago Virtual Internship Program during the northern hemisphere summer. Her work was edited, designed and published by the Santiago Center.
