Within the framework of a MoU between Columbia Global Centers | Tunis (CGC Tunis) and Pasteur Institute of Tunis, a 12-session masterclass entitled "Logical Reasoning in Human Genetics" will be organized.
This course is led by Prof. Joseph Terwilliger, Professor in the Department of Genetics and Development at Columbia University; and Prof. Sonia Abdelhak, Senior Biologist, Head of the Laboratory of Biomedical Genomics and Oncogenetics at the Pasteur Institute of Tunis, together with a team of reference geneticists from North Africa. This includes Professor Ghada El-Kamah, from the National Research Center in Cairo; and Professor Aisha Nasef, President of the Scientific Council of Medical Laboratories in Tripoli.
The aim of this masterclass is to help participants review the basics of evolutionary biology, genetic epidemiology, and gene mapping.
