Alumni Spotlight: Pauline Kantor (SIPA'90) Appointed Chilean Minister of Sports

Pauline Kantor, a journalist with a Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), will become Chile's new Minister of Sports. The announcement was made by President-elect Sebastian Piñera, who will take office on March 11. Kantor, who graduated from SIPA in 1990, has worked as a reporter, writer, editor, and media consultant. During the first government of President Piñera (2010 - 2014), she was in charge of organizing the commemorative events celebrating Chile's Bicentennial as an independent republic. She also led the program "Elige Vivir Sano", which promoted healthy lifestyles among Chileans.
