Sustainability and Success of Career Centers for a Better Employability of University Graduates in Tunisia | WEBINAR

On Friday, June 26th, a webinar "Sustainability and Success of Career Centers for a Better Employability of University Graduates in Tunisia" was organized in partnership between the Columbia Global Centers | Tunis, Education for Employment EFE- Tunisia, the Ministry of Higher Education of Tunisia, and the Arab Institute of Business Leaders (IACE). It particularly covered the importance of the Public-Private Partnership to foster the success and sustainability of university career centers and enhance their performance.  

Speakers from different backgrounds and institutions took part in the discussion: H.E. Pr. Slim Choura, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia, Ron Bruder, Founder and Chair of Education for Employment (EFE), Donia Ellouze, Chair of the Board of EFE-Tunisia, Amel Bouchamaoui, Advisory Board Member, Columbia Global Centers | Tunis, Lamia Chaffai, CEO EFE- Tunisia, Youssef Cherif, Head, Columbia Global Centers | Tunis, Lassaad Mezghani, Director General, DGRU, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia, Majdi Hassen, Executive Director, Arab Institute for Business Leaders (IACE). It was moderated by journalist Wassim Belarbi.

This Webinar presented the findings and recommendations of the study "Building a Sustainable Career Center Model in Tunisia " conducted by a team of MIA and MPA students from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), in the scope of the partnership between Education for Employment EFE-Tunisie and Columbia Global Centers | Tunis. 

The Study covered:

  1.  Benchmark of career centers models and best practices in 6 countries: Brazil, Egypt,  France,  India, Morocco, and USA.
  2. Results of a field survey and analysis of the situation of Career Centers in Tunisia and list of recommendations 
  3. Career Center Performance Assessment Tool: Performance Assessment Rubric
