In Issue 7 of the TC-Tunisia Monthly Newsletter, updates about the project, as well as perspectives from project participants and staff, are shared. To begin, an overview of the current module of the project is provided and participants’ engagement with the module is showcased. This programmatic update is followed by an op-ed piece written by Maryam Megdiche, Project Participant, who highlights the educational challenges and changes that have come about in Tunisia due to the pandemic, and reflects on the impact that the TC-Tunisia Project has had on its participants. After that, we share a few resources from Columbia Global Centers. Then, another op-ed, written by Ashley Beccia, Project Assistant, is presented, shedding light on the positive changes, especially for young language learners, that have transpired in New York City as a result of the pandemic. To conclude, participant shout-outs are featured and the results of the poll from the last issue of the newsletter are released.
