From Sept. 2 to Sept. 4, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing participated in the NSOP (New Student Orientation Program) and celebrated 14 first-year, transfer, and international students of Barnard College in Beijing.
From Sept. 2 to Sept. 4, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing participated in the NSOP (New Student Orientation Program) and celebrated 14 first-year, transfer, and international students of Barnard College in Beijing.
Despite the long-distance and time difference between New York and Beijing, this orientation took on a hybrid model with live webinars, pre-recorded presentations, face-to-face Q&A with returning students, and small group discussions, providing students the first opportunity to become familiar with the excitement, opportunities, and all of the resources available at Barnard and Columbia, helping them get connected with the Barnard community before they arrive on campus.
The orientation also introduced students to the unique opportunities offered by the Global Centers network, and how Beijing Center could help them in the future explore and achieve their intellectual and professional goals.
