The first discussion of the day featured writers Khalid Lyamlamy and Maï-Do Hamisultane. They spoke with moderator and author Anissa Bouziane about the Moroccan diaspora in Europe, and particularly in France, as well as the question of literary identity.

The afternoon session featured a conversation between Anissa Bouziane and Madeleine Dobie, professor of French and Comparative Literature at Columbia, on Bouziane’s new book, Dune Song.

The event was enriched by an exhibition of photographs by Hakim Benchekroun, “Lost in Morocco” an exploration of the forgotten places of the Sharifian dynasties.
