As Director for Strategic Planning and Initiatives, Paul works across Columbia and the world to strategically drive the University’s global mission forward. Paul leads strategic planning and other special projects, drives network-wide academic and operational programs, manages impact analysis across the network, and leads various University-wide initiatives, such as the Committee on Forced Migration, the Columbia University Scholarship for Displaced Students, and the President’s Global Innovation Fund.
Before joining the Columbia Global Centers, Paul was a program manager for the NYC Department of Education, developed global communications and operations for the President of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia and the National University of Singapore, oversaw marketing for an orchestra in New Zealand, and supported sales and marketing for a marine wildlife center in Alaska.
Paul’s B.A. is from Harvard, where he studied anthropology and sociology, and his M.A. is from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where he studied international affairs and urban and social policy. He is currently pursuing his Executive MBA at the Columbia Business School.
