Library Workshop Series: Access the C.V. Starr East Asian Library at Home

Editor's note:

Given that most Chinese/Asian students cannot come to the Morningside Heights campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and they have increasing needs for various types of library support, the Beijing Center, in partnership with C.V. Starr East Asian Library, developed a five-week “Library Workshop Series” to enhance CU library’s engagement with off-campus students and help strengthen the Chinese/Asian students’ affinity with the University. The library workshop series provided Columbia University students who focus on East Asian studies with the basic and advanced library resources, tools, and methods to help their remote learning and research. There were more than 100 students, alumni, and community members in the Greater China Area and other parts of Asia joining us for learning and discussion.
