After coming in second in 2022, this year the Columbia Business School MBA program ranks as the best it in the world according to the Financial Times’ Global MBA ranking, followed by Insead (France/Singapore), IESE (Spain), Harvard (US), and Stanford (US), which complete the top 5 out of the hundred business schools ranked by the London based publication.

Among Columbia’s notable achievements in the ranking are research, alumni salary three years after graduation, 79% of sector diversity rank, 58% rate of international faculty, 57% of international students, and a 9.51 score for overall satisfaction.

In its 25th edition, the Financial Times changed the methodology of the Global MBA ranking in order to stress diversity and sustainability. One major change, for instance, is that the weighting for salaries has been cut from two-fifths to less than one-third of the score. Other categories that have increased in importance are gender parity, diversity of students, and environment. Three new categories have been added: quality of alumni networks, student sector diversity, which focuses on the range of employment sectors in which the candidates have worked before studying their MBA, and a school carbon footprint rank.
