Ana Flávia Gouveia de Faria is Pro-Rector for Research and Graduate Studies at the State University of Tocantins (UNITINS) since 2018, where she leads institutional innovation in higher education. Holding a Ph.D. from the University of São Paulo and international research experience at the University of Florida, she has expanded graduate programs and increased research scholarships significantly. Her leadership connects scientific advancement with sustainable development in Brazil’s Legal Amazon, promoting inclusion, gender equity, and opportunities for emerging researchers while strengthening regional academic systems. With nearly a decade of experience in academic leadership, she has structured strategic institutional policies.
