Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai invites applications for Communication Officer.
Working closely with the Director of the CGCM, the Communication Officer is responsible for the following activities:
- Writing content for the various platforms subscribed to by the Center
- Managing press and media outreach for covering the Center’s programs
- Designing and editing the quarterly newsletter of the Center
- Designing flyers, brochures, presentations, and publicity materials for the Center’s programs
- Maintaining and designing updates for the Center’s website
- Publicizing the Center’s programs on social media
- Working closely with the design agency to create the Annual Report of the Center
- Working with external vendors including graphic designers, video editors, etc. when necessary
- Producing quarterly analytical reports on the Center’s communication strategies and their impact
- Participating in calls with other program staff across the Columbia Global Centers network
- Performing other duties as required to meet the goals and mission of the Center and the Global Centers network
- Traveling on occasion to advance the goals of the Center

Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai (CGC|M) invites applications for Communication Fellow/Intern.
Based in Mumbai, and working closely with the Director of the Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai and Communication Officer, the Communication Fellow/Intern is responsible for the following activities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Crafting social media messaging for the Center’s handles including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
- Editing videos and audio materials for the Center’s programs to be disseminated via social media and YouTube
- Supporting the Communications Officer in designing flyers, brochures, presentations, and publicity materials for the Center’s programs
- Assisting the Communications Officer with photography coverage of live events at the Center
- Collection and compilation of data across social media for analytical reports
- Performing other duties as required to meet the goals and mission of the Center and the Global Centers network
Competencies/Attributes:
- Undergraduate in Communications/Marketing/Journalism/related fields preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience in academic/education sector preferred
- Sound technical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, Mailchimp, etc
- Highly-motivated and creative ability to generate new ideas
This position is a one-year appointment, subject to renewal.
