Ayşenur Ölmezses

Ayşenur Ölmezses brings more than a decade of experience in civil society and humanitarian work, with projects spanning youth engagement, ecological literacy, livelihoods, migration and social cohesion, child safeguarding, and emergency response. She has collaborated extensively with international funding partners.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Union Studies, graduate-level training in International Migration and Ethnic Relations, a master’s degree in Media and Communication Studies, and a PhD in Media and Communication Studies from Galatasaray University. Her academic work has focused on migration, urban studies, media, and cultural interaction. Her doctoral research, “City, Space and Cultural Interaction: The Kadıköy Example,” examined urban space as a site of cultural interaction.

Following the February 6, 2023 earthquakes in Türkiye, Ayşenur  coordinated multi-sectoral humanitarian programs, including basic needs, WASH, protection, Cash and Voucher Assistance, Survivor- and Community-Led Response, livelihoods, and community-based disaster risk management.
