Nan Xu

Nan Xu advocates for using creativity as a driving force for positive social change. Since 2018, she has launched a grant program for young creators to support Chinese writers, artists, and scholars in their independent work, encouraging a new generation to reobserve and document the world from a Chinese perspective while addressing pressing issues of our times through literature and art. At the same time, she has been committed to building platforms for the exchange and presentation of creative thinking, innovative concepts, and intellectual exploration in China, actively fostering cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary, and cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration.

Xu holds an MBA from Leeds Beckett University in the UK and has over 16 years of professional experience with UN humanitarian and specialized agencies in China. The strategic communications and creative initiatives she has led have inspired young people in China to actively support the work and goals of the UN agencies she has served.
