Suzy Evelyn de Souza e Silva is an indigenous woman from the Mura people, belonging to São Gabriel da Cachoeira, in the Brazilian Amazon. She holds a law degree and a master's degree and is a doctoral candidate in Social Anthropology at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). A social impact leader, she works through the Instituto Amazônia Açu (IAÇU), which supports projects and social organizations led by indigenous people, especially youth and women's movements. She conducts research at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), focusing on indigenous women, territories, and climate change. Suzy works at the intersection of indigenous rights, climate justice, and community development throughout the Amazon region.
