Helennara

HX

Helennara is a student of popular culture and 21st century poet. They write poems that sound like novels and novels that read like plays. After some mild socio-political disagreements with the PRC government, they eloped with art to another continent to read and write in a freer fashion. They are curiously invested in NPO projects - from organizing a reading room for migrant children in Beijing to crafting interactive museum experience in Chicago. Currently, they are working on furthering the study of state censorship in Columbia’s East Asian Department. If you happened to be interested in chatting about art rock and authoritarian propaganda, join them for some imaginary tea.
