"Humanity’s Urban Futures: Imag(in)ing, Knowing, Making" compares insights from different urban geographies across historic periods from antiquity to modern times. Moderated by renowned urban scholar Roger Keil, the discussion will compare diverse urban experiences to uncover how knowledge of the past can spark fresh ideas for imagining and making more livable and inclusive cities in the future.

The discussion will share lessons from the streets and forums of ancient Greek cities, draw insights from contemporary Beirut, and highlight the historical layers of Istanbul’s urban heritage and its present challenges.
