Columbia Global Center Santiago is pleased to announce its latest webinar, “Indigenous contributions in culturally grounded healthcare: An intercultural health model in Villarrica, Chile.”
In this webinar, Emmie Gocke, medical student at Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, will discuss her in-field experience in researching culturally grounded healthcare in and around Villarrica, which is located in southern Chile’s Araucanía Region, where approximately one-third of the population identifies as belonging to the Mapuche indigenous group.
The webinar will include comments from professionals living and working in and around Villarrica and will feature Gocke’s research and lived experience. The program has been developed by the Santiago Center, in partnership with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile’s Field Research Network (RCER UC) and the Office of the Vice President for International Affairs (VRAI).
