Gina Ocqueteau is President of Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile, a chemicals company and the world’s largest lithium producer. She is just the second woman to head a major Chilean company. Gina possesses a nursing degree from Universidad de Chile and an MBA from the ESADE Business School.
Gina began her career in nursing and subsequently moved into the business world. She speaks English, German, French and Italian, in addition to her native Spanish, and serves on the boards of Fundación País Digital, Fundación Imagen Chile, Cámara de Comercio de Asia, UDD Ventures, and Fundación Chilena del Pacífico, and is an advisory board member at Empresas SB.
Gina was recognized by the prestigious “Top 100 Women Leaders in Chile” in 2006, 2007, 2016, and 2022. She additionally served on former President Gabriel Boric’s Panel of Specialists on Gender, Mental Health, and Employment.
