Michael Grasty

Michael Grasty is a Chilean lawyer, graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile’s School of Law (1981) and from Stanford University (bachelor's degree in History '74). He founded the law firm Grasty Quintana Majis & Cia in 1987 and currently serves as its senior partner.

Michael specializes in corporate matters, providing counsel to foreign companies seeking to do business in Chile, designing their foreign investment strategy, and offering general legal advice for their local subsidiaries. 

He has a strong commitment to environmental issues and works closely with WWF, TNC, and the Global Ocean Legacy project of the Pew Foundation. He serves as a director for numerous companies, including Empresas Tattersall S.A., Sparta Deportes, David del Curto S.A., and Discovery Air, a Canadian company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He is a former president of AMCHAM Chile, a member of the Legal Circle of Icare, advisor to the Pais Digital Foundation, and a member of the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise’s Beachheads Advisory Council.
