Ricardo Alvial is the Executive Director at INVESTRISKS and a professor at the Universidad de Chile where he teaches Strategic Alliances, M&As in the Economics and Business School. Ricardo was instrumental in the international expansion of the energy company, Enersis, and has over 30 years of experience doing business and successfully identifying opportunities in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru.
Ricardo has an MPA from Columbia University with a major in international finance and economic development, and he holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Universidad de Chile. Ricardo served as an officer in the Chilean Air Force and has also worked for Banco de Chile (NY branch) and Banque Sudameris, and he was an adviser to the World Bank, the IMF, and other institutions. He is also a private pilot.
