Helping Build Sustainable Ventures at Climate Startup Week 2025

As part of the Climate Collective Foundation’s flagship event, Climate Startup Week 2025, Columbia Global Center Mumbai, in collaboration with Columbia Business School’s Jerome A. Chazen Institute, hosted an exclusive strategy workshop designed for early-stage climate startups. The session was led by Professor Nataliya Wright, Assistant Professor of Business Management Division of Columbia Business School, known for her expertise in guiding startups through growth challenges.

The virtual workshop held on May 1, 2025, hosted 44 unique startups for an engaging session focused on building a clear, actionable growth strategy. Through real-world examples, like Myspace and Disney, research-based frameworks, and interactive exercises, participants explored how to define the core of their business, evaluate strategic trade-offs, and align their teams for long-term success.

Prof. Wright addressed Founders’ questions around service delivery, branding, hiring, and staying competitive in a fast-evolving market like India. The workshop offered a space for reflection, peer learning, and practical takeaways to support focused, strategic growth.

Climate Startup Week 2025, running from April 12 to May 3, is the largest climate tech startup ecosystem event across the Global South. This workshop exemplified the collaborative spirit of Climate Startup Week 2025, equipping climate tech entrepreneurs with strategic insights to drive impactful and sustainable growth.
