Dr. Yasir Hassan Ahmed Al-Qudimi is a Yemeni applied linguist, educator, and researcher specializing in English language teaching, technology-enhanced learning, and education in conflict-affected settings. He earned his PhD in Applied Linguistics from Aligarh Muslim University, India, in 2025, where he also completed an M.A. in Linguistics and an Advanced Diploma in Translation in 2020. He holds a Bachelor's degree in English Education from Hodeidah University, Yemen.

With more than a decade of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language, Dr. Al-Qudimi has taught Academic English, Medical English, English for Health Sciences, TOEFL preparation, academic writing, speaking, and communication skills at universities, language centers, and teacher education programs in Yemen. His appointments include the University of Science and Technology–Marib, the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences, Resalti Academy for Development and Creativity, and other higher education institutions in Yemen. A certified TEFL instructor, Dr. Al-Qudimi has completed specialized professional training in TESOL, blended learning, online teaching, academic writing, and TOEFL instruction through Arizona State University, the University of California, Irvine, the U.S. Department of State's OPEN Program, the British Council, and the University of Colorado Boulder.

His research interests include applied linguistics, TESOL, second language acquisition, blended learning, teacher education, academic writing, language assessment, translation studies, artificial intelligence in language education, and education in emergencies. He has presented at numerous national and international conferences and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on English language teaching, blended learning, discourse analysis, translation, and AI-assisted language learning. Drawing on both his academic expertise and lived experience of displacement during the conflict in Yemen, Dr. Al-Qudimi is dedicated to advancing practical, evidence-based approaches that expand access to quality learning opportunities for women, displaced learners, and other vulnerable communities affected by conflict.
