In the context of International Women's Day, the Santiago Center has recognized three Chilean and three Peruvian noteworthy Columbia alumnae for their professional development and contribution to society.
Marlene Savaraín, CBS’04, has developed a distinguished career in the world of finance. She currently works at Interbank, where she is Deputy Global Markets Manager - Process and Transformation Management. In the area of global markets, she is in charge of handling capital market operations, foreign trade, international transfers, and payment and collection services; lead transformation and improvement processes, automating and/or digitizing operations; and implementing technological projects.
Since 2008 she has worked as an independent consultant at MSA, advising clients regarding the acquisition and/or sale of companies. In addition to providing independent financial advice for MGi SAFI, 01Labs – Ataria and Activas Partners, she has worked at the snack company Viva la Papa (during which she obtained the Award for Leading Woman in Export Development in 2013), the financial boutique Enfoca, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
She is currently the head of the Columbia Business Alumni Club of Peru.
