Asia Society France recently hosted an insightful panel discussion on the escalating tensions surrounding ASML, Europe’s leading chip manufacturer, and its role in the ongoing tech war between the U.S. and China.

Cindy Liu transitioned from classical pianist to music management at Columbia, inspired by mentors and experiences at Reid Hall. Now at Universal Music Publishing, she advocates for artist rights and diverse representation. 

Photographer Maxime Riché’s Paradise series shows the devastation and resilience of Paradise, California, after the 2018 Camp Fire. Recently purchased by Reid Hall, this print created with natural materials captures the lasting impact of climate disasters. Riché (SEAS ‘05) recently won the Prix Public Dahinden, and his work will be showcased at the Paris Photo festival.

Reid Hall has recently been enriched by a remarkable donation of books from the personal library of Geneviève Fabre, made by her son Pierre Fabre.

This year, the Columbia Global Center in Paris will host three of the thirteen conferences from the Marx 13/13 series, an initiative organized by the Columbia Center for Contemporary Critical Thought and led by Professor Bernard Harcourt.

2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the gift of Reid Hall to Columbia University by Helen Rogers Reid.

Columbia Global is now accepting applications for a suite of funding opportunities for faculty and researchers.
