Santiago Center Launches Field Research Funding Competition for Graduate Students

The Santiago Center, with the support of the Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS), is holding a competition for field research funding of up to US$5,000 for two graduate students conducting research on Chile.

The recipients, chosen by the selection committee, will work closely with the Santiago Center, which will administer the disbursement of the funds and provide logistical support. The reports generated after the research is completed will be used for ILAS and the Global Center’s Annual Reports, newsletters, and other outreach materials.

Eligibility: Master's or doctoral students at Columbia University enrolled in degree programs with a substantial focus on Latin America, particularly Chile, are eligible to apply. All topics are welcome, including immigration, economics, women’s rights, and more.

Deadline: Friday, February 18, 2022, at 11:59 PM EST.
