On Sept.16th, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing and A Better Community (ABC) jointly launched the 2017 China’s Non-profit Sector Remuneration & Talent Development Practice Report.
On August 26th, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing invited Columbia University Columbia College student, Shaun Wang, to conduct a special talk on his independent project. For the past three years, Shaun has conducted independent interviews with more than 40 Chinese private art museums, art centers, and art foundation; 54 art museum founders, directors, and CEOs.
On Aug. 19, three leading experts from the industry of artificial intelligence gathered at Columbia Global Centers | Beijing and joined a panel discussion on the Opportunities and Challenges of Artificial Intelligence. The panelists include Xin WANG, SVInsight co-founder, former Grape Venture partner, and Geek Academy co-founder, Zhao HUANG, Turing OS Intelligence Strategy Officer, former Tencent Product Manager, and Xuchen YAO, the founder of KITT-AI.
On Aug. 19, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing held an opening ceremony for "In Between Spaces — Philippines Art Exhibition." In Between Spaces aims to forge a link by using video art and photography as a lens to view the Philippine contemporary art landscape. The exhibition brings together artistic visions and investigations from four contemporary Filipino artists whose works explore themes of traditions and modernity; collective and personal memory; and the consciousness found in urban spaces. The Exhibition features Dex Fernandez, Paulo Vinluan, Jay Campos, and MM Yu.
On July 22, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing successfully held an event of Columbia University Undergraduate Students and Parents Gathering. Thirty-three Columbia undergraduate students, including 13 newly admitted students and 20 current students, 7 Columbia alumni, and 17 parents participated in the event.
