Franklim José Colletti Montilla is a historian and researcher with more than a decade of experience in university teaching and research focused on Latin American history and international relations. He holds a degree in History from the Central University of Venezuela and is currently a doctoral candidate in American Studies, specializing in International Studies, at the University of Santiago, Chile. His work adopts an interdisciplinary approach that combines diplomatic history, the history of international relations, and the study of forced migration and its political and cultural implications.

He has taught in Venezuela and Chile in areas such as contemporary history, Asian history, historical methodology, world history, citizenship and democracy, as well as specialized seminars on totalitarianism. His experience includes participation in national and international academic conferences, and collaborations in research projects funded by Chile’s National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development (FONDECYT), related to the history of foreign policy and international relations.

His project at the Columbia Global Center in Santiago examines how the Venezuelan community in Chile reconstructs identity, memory, and resilience following forced displacement, through the analysis of documents, discourse, and cultural materials. By examining media, testimonies, symbolic objects, artistic productions, and community spaces, the project aims to identify processes of re-signification and cultural strategies that foster a renewed sense of belonging and collective resilience.
