The international conference Rhizome Rosi invites scholars, artists, and practitioners to explore and extend the thought of philosopher Rosi Braidotti. Known for her influential work on feminism, posthumanism, nomadic subjectivities, and critiques of humanism, Braidotti’s project offers crucial tools for rethinking subjectivity, politics, and ethics in our present moment of ecological, technological, and social crises.
This two-day gathering will create an intergenerational meeting place for contemporary re-readings, revivals, and experimental extensions of Braidotti’s concepts. Presentations may take the form of traditional academic papers or more experimental formats.
The conference is structured around three thematic axes: “Nomadism and Becoming,” “Posthumanism, Ethics, and Politics,” and “Representation, Resistance, and Speculative Imagination.” Your presentation may fall under one or more of these areas.
