On April 1, 2024, the center organized an orientation session for nursing students from the Columbia School of Nursing.

Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai supported the Global Student Clinical Experiences program of the Columbia University School of Nursing (CUSON) which provides global opportunities for nursing students to experience diverse health systems and gain a broader understanding of innovative patient care models for treatment of infectious diseases.

Nurses and midwives are on the frontlines of pandemic response worldwide, but their stories and sacrifices are often ignored. This event will launch frontlinenurses.columbia.edu, a new site that presents first- person accounts of nurses and midwives from Liberia and Sierra Leone who successfully led their communities through the 2014 Ebola outbreak.
