Nevfel, LL.M. candidate at Columbia Law School, graduated from Ankara Law School in Turkey. He holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Law from Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University in Turkey. In his master’s thesis, he examined reorganization of financially distressed companies in the context of bankruptcy. His Ph.D. studies at Ankara HBV University focused on fiduciary liabilities of directors of corporations. His book “Subordination Agreement in Turkish Law,” published in 2018, projected a solution for the financial restructuring of companies. As a teaching assistant at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit Law School, he taught Corporate Law and Commercial Law. Along with supervising student projects and coaching moot court teams, he worked as an expert witness on various corporate and bankruptcy cases in Ankara Commercial Courts. His studies also include Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Law. Nevfel is known for his passion for self-discovery through the study of the Enneagram.
