In this lecture, Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh will discuss his latest book, The Brave Knowledge World, published in November 2018. Against the backdrop of rising unemployment for frustrated Arab youth, he will delve into the challenges faced by our education sector in the face of constantly evolving technology. Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh will describe how to leverage this newly available technology in order to meet the market demands of the global information society. Casting his gaze into the future, he will discuss how best we can prepare young learners for what is to come.
Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh is Chairman and Founder of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization, a unique private firm with a mission to "contribute to the socioeconomic development of the Arab world." He has been a member of the Jordanian Senate since 2016, and has had a long and engaging career with business-related international development organizations, and forward-thinking business projects in the Arab world. Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh has led numerous successful international and regional capacity-building initiatives over the past 45 years, in the fields of education and scientific research, youth empowerment, wealth creation through information and communication technologies, intellectual property awareness, and job creation opportunities. He also served on the board of UN Global Compact and as Chairman of UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development. Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh is also currently Chairman of the Arab Coalition of Services and a member of the World Trade Organization panel on "Defining the Future of Trade."
