Rashid Khalidi is the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University. He is co-editor of the Journal of Palestine Studies, and has served as President of the Middle East Studies Association. Rashid is the author of eight books, including Brokers of Deceit: How the U.S. has Undermined Peace in the Middle East (2013); Palestinian Identity (2nd ed. 2010); and Sowing Crisis: American Dominance and the Cold War in the Middle East (2009). He has also authored over 100 academic articles and book chapters, and has co-edited three books.
