The Columbia Global Centers were created nearly 15 years ago and now embrace four continents—Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.
The center in Santiago focuses on public programs featuring Columbia faculty, researchers, and students and covering themes that are on the frontline of the global and local public policy agenda. It has established extensive partnerships with the Chilean academic community, government institutions, businesses, and NGOs to co-sponsor public programs and develop relationships with local scholars and scientists in order to engage in joint research projects.
The Santiago Columbia Global Center Director will provide strategic leadership, academic leadership, intellectual vision and management oversight for Columbia Global’s operations in Chile. This includes executing a country-level strategic plan, creating a vibrant intellectual and pedagogic community, overseeing program quality and innovation, managing financial and human resources, fundraising and executing a communication plan to disseminate information about the Center and its activities.
