Columbia’s Center for Technology Management provides Master Class on Digital Disruption for Technology Leaders

On February 27, Columbia Global Centers | Istanbul in collaboration with Dr. Art Langer, Professor of Practice and Director of the Columbia Center for Technology Management, hosted a one-day master class on Digital Disruption for over 25 chief information officers (CIOs) from Turkey. The master class included a 90-minute panel discussion with leading CIOs from the region that focused on best practices for integrating digital technologies in organizations. Members of the panel were, Reha Çetin, CIO, Akkök Holding and General Manager of Aktek; Kaan Marangoz, CIO, Nobel İlaç; Serdar Urçar , Mentor and Investor, Udentify; Yomi Kastro, Founder and Managing Partner, Inveon and Inventures; and Sertaç Kanlı Yerlikaya; Chief Senior Researcher, TÜBİTAK. Other notable companies in attendance included, Türk Telekom, Odea Bank A.Ş, Allianz, ISKEN, Eksim Yatırım Holding, Socar Turkiye, and Carrefoursa.

Columbia’s Center for Technology Management (CTM) serves as an interdisciplinary entity that encourages dialogue and collaboration among executives, practitioners, faculty, and students engaged in the study of improving technology management in businesses and social organizations. CTM has established multiple corporate and education alliances around the world with companies like Nutanix and for honor students from such institutions as ESADE University in Barcelona and Aarhus Business School in Denmark. CTM is also active with the Columbia Global Centers | Paris and plans to expand its collaboration with the Global Center | Istanbul with regular scheduled events and seminars on technology related issues for local businesses, NGOs, and universities.
