Isabel Aninat, LAW’13, assumed the position as Dean of the Law School at Chile’s Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI) at the beginning of June.
Before coming on board as dean, she was a researcher at the Centro de Estudios Públicos. Aninat has co-edited three books and is the author of several articles in the area of law and public policy.
“I decided to take on this challenge because how we train future lawyers is a way of contributing to the country. The impact that our graduates can have as professionals can make a difference in their various fields of practice,” she said.
Aninat is one of the five Chilean alumnae sponsored by the Santiago Center last year to travel to Columbia University to participate in the intensive three-day Women in Leadership Workshop.
