Joseph Terwilliger in Tunisia

In partnership with The Tunisian Center for Public Health (TCPH), Pr. Joseph Terwilliger, Professor of Neurobiology, visited Tunisia for an assessment mission related to a project that he will start at CGC Tunis. He had the opportunity to meet with major key stakeholders in medical research, genetics and education, including: Dr. Noomene El Kadri (Director of the Department of Medical Research, Ministry of Health, Tunisia); Pr. Mouna Ben Djebara (Neurology Department, Razi Hospital); Dr. Mohamed Jouini (Dean of the School of Medicine, University of Tunis); Dr. Sonia Abdelhak (Head of Biomedical and Oncogenetic Genomics Laboratory, Pasteur Institute of Tunis); Dr. Rym Kéfi (Team leader in the Laboratory of Biomedical Genomics and Oncogenetics, Pasteur Institute of Tunis); Dr. Yassine Kalboussi (TCPH), among others. 

This pilot project aims to build an educational exchange between Columbia University and medical institutions in North Africa.
