, Columbia Global Centers I Nairobi was honored to host ‘How Journalists can use Technology in Reporting’ workshop.  During this interactive workshop, conducted be Benjamin Strick and Aliaume Leroy of BBC Africa Eye's Open Source Investigators, provided insights on Open Source Investigative Journalism (OSIJ)   and practical examples on its use. The workshop explored the advanced tools, which applies forensic analyses to publicly available information to establish and verify the facts, establish timelines and establish credible leads, particularly in dynamic situations.

The workshop was organized by the Foreign Correspondents’ Association of East Africa (FCAEA), and 30 members attended the workshop.   FCAEA works to support journalists operating in the region, from advocating for press freedom to providing security training and emergency intervention
