Co-organized by the No-Boundaries Committee, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing, and Columbia Global Centers | Paris, the Third No-Boundaries International Art Exhibition (NOBO) was launched on February 1, 2018 and is open to young artists from kindergarten to high school all around the world. This year, NOBO will showcase in Beijing, Paris, and New York under the theme of “One Tree, One City.”

NOBO in 2018 features an innovative exhibition format. While displaying 100 real paintings from youth and children around the world, it will also showcase all artworks aligned with NOBO's vision and theme through an online gallery to encourage our next generation to participate in arts and environmental protection.

In the future, through the network of Columbia University’s Global Centers, NOBO will invite one country or region to join in the Exhibition every year, encouraging young citizens to cross regional and national boundaries between regions and to call on the world to create harmony between human beings and nature.

NOBO is not a competition but an international art and educational platform. “We hope to cultivate socially responsible and caring global citizens who will be able to impact the future with nuanced perspectives through visual arts education,” said Ms. Baitong Yan, Founder of NOBO.

NOBO will also work closely with leading scholars and professors in the field of education to deliver a series of public lectures and arts activities during the submission stage. NOBO’s lectures and activities will help raise young citizens’ understanding of environmental protection, enhance their sense of social responsibility and global awareness, and encourage them to express their ideas through art and action.

The entry period of the Third No-Boundaries International Art Exhibition (NOBO) is between February 1 and June 1, 2018.
