The Chinese translation of The Age of Sustainable Development by Columbia Professor Jeffrey Sachs was released this June.
Sachs is the director of The Earth Institute at Columbia University, the Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University. He is one of the most well-known advocates for sustainable development as a way of understanding the world as well as a method for solving global problems.
This book describes key challenges and solutions pathways for every part of the world to be involved in problem solving, brainstorming, and determining new and creative ways to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth. Through an examination of the complex interactions of the economy, society, and the physical environment, it shows that a holistic strategy can help societies achieve the combination of economic prosperity, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
