On April 28, Columbia SIPA Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP), Columbia Global Centers | Beijing, and Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai jointly hosted the second session of the seminar series titled "Emerging Asia and the Global Energy and Climate Challenge" with CGEP experts Dr. Pierre NoëlDavid Sandalow, and Erica Downs, Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) senior researcher Changyi Liu, and GSAPP Urban Planning professor and M.S. Urban Planning program director Weiping Wu.

This webinar focused on the energy and climate change policies in China, during which energy scholars based in the US and China discuss Chinese energy and CO2 emissions trends and questions, the politics and policy involved in the issue, and the path to achieving its 2060 carbon-neutral goals.
