Beijing Information Session for the Dual BA Program between Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University

October 15, 2018

On October 15, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing hosted a Beijing Information Session for the Dual BA Program between Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University. The information session was led by Vice Dean Curtis Rodgers of School of General Studies at Columbia University, Associate Dean Jessica Sarles-Dinsick, and Dr. Zuleika Rodgers, Programme Director for the Dual BA at Trinity College Dublin.

The Trinity-Columbia Dual BA Program will give students from all over the world, including Chinese students, the opportunity to study in two globally renowned universities.

"This is our newest Dual BA program, and the first class of students just arrived in Dublin in September," said Vice Dean Rodgers. "The concept of the Dual BA program is that we fully partner with Trinity College Dublin to share a student body and to create a cohesive and complementary academic experience over the course of four years."

The newly launched program is unique in that students will graduate from the two leading universities with two degrees over the course of four years. The inaugural cohort will start this autumn where students will pursue a rigorous undergraduate education in the areas of the arts and humanities, spanning the two continents.

Students will spend their first two years at Trinity, studying one of four areas—English Studies, European Studies, History, or Middle Eastern and European Languages and Cultures. They will then go on to study at Columbia for their second two years, completing their core curriculum and several majors.

More than 50 prospective students and their parents attended the information session with more than 80,000 people watched the event online. For more information about the program, please click here.
