Richard Pena at the "Latin American film festival" in Tunisia

July 2017, Columbia Global Centers | Tunis hosted professor Richard Pena (https://beta.global.columbia.edu/people/richard-peñ), who is the Emeritus Director of the New York Film Festival. He animated a Latin American film festival at L’Agora and was a guest speaker at the American Center (AC) where he gave a presentation on short films to a packed IRC on July 13. Attendees who included both aspiring and established filmmakers;viewed and discussed films made by Columbia University students and learned the history of how short films started in the United States.
