In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re taking a look back at some of the exceptional women who educated, inspired and challenged us over the past year by sharing their stories and expertise through a diverse array of public programs at the Paris Center.

Ciiru Waweru Waithaka says she sees her world in color, shapes, and textures.  As Interior Architect, for many years, Ciiru found success in creating functional and beautiful spaces; however, this morphed when she discovered her passion and carved out her space within locally manufacturing specifically children’s furniture.

Luis Felipe Céspedes has joined Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs as a visiting professor for spring 2019.

Maxime Riché (SEAS '05) presented his Climate Heroes project at the Paris Center and did a TedTalk looking for people and answers dealing with a changing climate.
