Co-sponsored by Columbia Global Centers | Paris and the Institute for Ideas and Imagination, the Displaced Artists Initiative are designed to support artists who have had to leave their countries of origin due to extreme circumstances (war, natural disaster, political oppression).

For the 2023-2024 year, the Reid Hall artist-in-residence is Afghan-Iranian the writer Aliyeh Ataei; the project-in-residence is the 1991 Project, a non-profit association whose purpose is to safeguard and promote Ukrainian music.

 Danse de fumée will be performed again at Reid Hall on April 29.
